SNSD 3rd Album The Boys

The album was released 6 days ago. Though I am a fan, but not so frantic to the point of rushing things and stuff like that. Okay, stop babbling, here's the stuff.

This album release date actually delayed due to the synchronization of a global release. They made a rather international comeback, prominently in the USA and South Korea. As a surprise, even in a tiny country like Malaysia, the local stores did sell the album from the same date of release. Beware of huge bandwidth consume.

Run Devil Run at hand

Despite being thrown in the abyss of examination, I got my hand (finally!) on SNSD's current Run Devil Run repackaged album through online order with the help of a buddy. Ordering from GrapeMusic which deliver directly from South Korea is very satisfying; the delivery reached early a week from ETA with free keychain phone strap (I got Soo Young's).

Foreground - Booklet, background - CD.

I do know beforehand that there will be a mystery poster hid in the album which will be either 1 of the members. I have been hoping to get Tiffany and to my surprise, I really got it! What luck I have?

 The mystery poster.

Fany's page with a piece of signatures from the girls (notice her signature in the foreground).

The final page of the booklet, flashed.

The free poster; the length is about half of my bed.

There's a whopping 15 songs in the album by the way, Google up the content. No I haven't touch the CD yet, and no I didn't stick the poster up. Gonna be moving house again I guess.

SNSD at Kim Jung Eun's Chocolate

Apart from the usual interviews, they also performed some songs. The one I like the most is their cover of Spice Girls' Wanna Be. Reminds me of the old days...

Another one will be this, Get The Party Started.

SNSD Run Devil Run Released!

After a mysterious teaser at the end of the Oh! MV, everyone was asking whether what are the SM Entertainment contemplating. Well here you are; Run Devil Run, SNSD new track.

A 180 degree transformation for their "Black Soshi" concept. This completes the femme fatale concept that's been hitting on Kara and T-ara. The song is fresh and mysterious, you will get the hang of it after few times listening.

[AsiaKyungjae Reporter Jo Bumja] SNSD released their title song for their repackaged 2nd album, "Run Devil Run," on the 17th. It is already receiving explosive amounts of responses from netizens.

A preview of the concept of "Run Devil Run" was shown during the last part of their "Oh!" music video. Just as shown in the preview, the lyrics of the song are sending a word of warning to bad boys honestly and without hesitation. They showed a preview of a transformed SNSD by giving off a "femme fatale" atmosphere, which is slightly different than what atmospheres they've been giving off before.

The fans who have heard this new song through Bugs, Melon, and other music sites, have welcomed the transformed SNSD by saying comments such as, "It's mysterious and fresh," and, "It's so catchy, it seems like this one's going to be big as well."

The title song, "Run Devil Run," has a very strong sound of synth pop, and it perfectly balances SNSD's very charismatic vocals.

Busbee(USA), Alex James(UK), Kalle Engstrom(Sweden), and other composers from all over the world have collaborated to create this song. The new American popstar, Ke$ha, recorded a "guide version"** of the song before her debut around August 2008, as she is close with one of the composers.

There has been cases where Ke$ha's guide version has been taken down from Youtube as it was illegally leaked and uploaded. Thus, SNSD is the first to be officially presenting this song.

In addition, SNSD is expected to show a very powerful and charismatic performance to match the atmosphere of this title song. The interest in their performance, outfits, and more, is expected to to be very high.

On another note, the music video for SNSD's new song, "Run Devil Run," will be revealed for the first time on Bugs and the smartphone SNSD application at 12:00am on this coming 18th. Their first performance will be on the coming 19th of March on KBS2's "Music Bank."

****************************

**By "guide version", they mean like a "demo" version. This means that Ke$ha recorded the song before her debut just as a demo track, and it also implies that Ke$ha doesn't hold rights to this song. It was first offically released by SNSD, so SNSD did not "copy" Ke$ha. I know there was a lot of commotion around this. If this becomes an issue and SM needs to come out with an official statement on it, they will.

SNSD Oh! MV Huge Popularity

100,000 views in 2 hours!

[MyDaily Reporter Kim Kyungmin]

In the afternoon of the 27th (KST), the music video for idol group SNSD's second album title song had 100 000 views when it was released, and it went up to the number 1 spot on GomTV music video charts.

The song "Oh!" has already been released on the 25th, and rose to number 1 on major music sites and it is speculated that the album will also rise to the number 1 spot as well. However, it wasn't just the song, but the performance and visuals with the song and SNSD's known previous various fashion looks that fans were so much more expectant of this music video.

As to prove this expectancy, SNSD's "Oh!" music video, which was first released at noon on the 27th through their official website and GomTV, rose to the number 1 on the real-time GomTV music video popularity rankings as soon as it was released. It was recorded to have gained 100 000 hits in just 2 hours. This record was achieved more than twice as fast as the greatest hit of 2009, "Gee."

The head of the Contents Strategy team of GomTV said, "SNSD's "Oh!" teaser video released on the 25th rose to the number 1 spot in the popularity rankings, and for at least two days, there have been 220 000 hits." He also added, "The music video for the song "Gee" by SNSD, when it was released last year through GomTV, it accumulated ten million views and set a record. Observing the trends, "Oh!" looks like it will pass the "Gee" records easily."

SNSD's "Oh!" music video has gained a lot of popularity, and so has their most recent music video before this, "Chocoloate Love" which is top 20 in the GomTV rankings. The number of viewer hits for SNSD's major music video is quickly rising.

SNSD Oh! Full MV Released!

Cheerleading team facing their "bad" counterparts in leather outfits.

Cut the crap, here is the English subbed MV uploaded by Soshified.

[MyDaily Reporter: Kim Kyunmin]

The music video of SNSD's second album title track 'Oh!' has been revealed.

SNSD's newest music video that was released on the 27th presented two different concepts, one of which includes the complete transformation into cute cheerleaders. In a blue locker room, SNSD members were dressed in pink, white and pastel-tone apparels which depicted a barbie-like image, while in a football stadium, the girls were dressed up in blue and white cheerleader uniforms.

However, SNSD members were faced with an unexpected surprise near the end of the music video. Facing the nine cheerleaders from across the room were another set of nine SNSD members with identical facial appearances but dressed up in black leather outfits, who were named as the "Bad" So Nyuh's (Girls). These nine SNSD members dressed in leather outfits were full of secrecy and charisma.

In regards to the music video, SM Entertainment representative commented, "the ending is intended to show a glimpse of the follow-up track and to raise curiosity amongst the fans about the complete transformation of SNSD."

The music video of 'Oh!' was filmed in Kyungkido, Ilsan and Paju and was directed by film director Cheo Soohyun, who helped display another charmful side of the girls by transforming them into cheerleaders.

In particular, the music video displaying the members as supportive cheerleaders in a football field added more freshness to the energetic, electro-pop track 'Oh!'.

SNSD's second full album will be released on the 28th through online and offline markets, and the group's comeback performance will be held on MBC 'Show! Music Core' in the 30th.
