Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2013 - Part 2

Continued from Part 1, here are more pictures of vehicles and models (definitely) from the 10 days event. You might find the latter more than vehicles though... well models are an important feature since the inaugural conception of the KLIMS.

Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2013 - Part 1

This year, the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS '13) is back with the tagline, Efficiency in Motion. It was supposed to be a biannual event, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the show was postponed to this year. The overall show focuses onto energy-efficient vehicles and concepts, comprised of hybrid, full electric and et cetera. As many big/common players in the industry did not show up, heck even Proton itself, many spaces were filled by aftermarket companies and classic cars showcase. I am not as enthusiast as I did in the past KLIMS 2010 (Part 1 | Part 2), thus expect less pictures.

VCR Coffee Shop Kuala Lumpur

This entry came rather late considering the fact that I actually visited this coffee shop back in their official opening day on the 10th of October. And it's name is just VCR, nothing else comes afterwards. The reason I placed the following words in case you misinterpret this entry as the classic video tape we used to be familiar with (unless you're born after the golden era). 

If you followed my blog, you'd noticed by now that I rarely post a single entry of a specific cafe. In fact, I've only posted the place I'd frequent; Artisan Roast HQ. So why VCR? It's is one of the three coffee shops I found comforting, warm and relaxing. Not superficial in any sense (which a lot other cafe gave), this place give you the feeling of hitting a friendly neighbourhood coffee shop by a friend of yours. Except you won't just hang around for a while, you'd actually want to spend the whole day lazying in this comfortable 'shack'.

And what do VCR stands for? I asked Jerng, one of the partners barista, "It's just video cassette recorder." I knew what was VCR, but didn't actually expected that. I thought it would be something like Verve Coffee Roasters or some sort. So why VCR? There is a long story behind the conception of this cafe but let's just simplify it; the cafe is in some kind of partnering/collaboration (not sure whether it's right to use the terms) with a graphic design/creative design firm named Used Tape and the former took over the ex-office of the latter.

Winter has come, or so they say. It's this time of the year again where people begun to layer themselves up heavily with coats, scarves and whatnot (at least, in countries away from the equator). It is no different this year, only with something that warrant my attention; two types of colour themed groups. Are you seeing what I'm seeing?

Fashion 65

After 6 months of idling, and also the fact that I direct my focus to local street style scene (Kuala Lumpur), I noticed there is a lack of emotion or colour in life. Currently, the local scene (the few famous ones) is dominated by packs of dull, emotionless high-street brands followers. Black and white are the primary colour, with addition of big fonts and stripes. Fast forward to now, I had forgotten how dynamic fashion had been. I realised there are colours in life as I re-enter the world of bright, colourful rainbow of internet. The following depict various expression of freedom and happiness, enjoy!
